Where does the name “Mighty Kingdom Academy” come from?
Mighty - Ephesians 1:19-20 (NLT)
“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.”
Kingdom – Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Academy – A school is an institution that provides formal education to children; however, an academy is a research society whose focus is on a specific topic of interest. Our academy’s focus is discipleship and teaching children how to dive deeper into their relationship with God as they explore the world around them.
What does it mean to be an “Interdenominational” academy?
Interdenominational means that we hold true to Biblical teachings while celebrating the strengths of many Christian denominations. We look forward to drawing from many different denominations for our staff, students, or volunteers as we come together and unite in our love of God and spreading the good news.
What is your philosophy of education?
Parents are a child’s first educators. Therefore, the relationship between MKA and its families is one of cooperation and fellowship.
Mighty Kingdom Academy’s educational values align with family values and are biblically driven and Christ-centered.
All students are seen as children of God and are treated with dignity, respect, and acceptance.
Students are met at their ability and encouraged to excel on a spiritual, social, emotional, and educational level.
Teachers take a vested interest in meeting the needs of all students.
Students are encouraged to become life-long learners.
What ages/grade levels are offered?
The Mighty Kingdom Academy is currently accepting students in grades Pre-K to 8th. The Pre-K is open to students aged 3 and 4, however, they must be potty trained. The Academy has the plan to offer elementary grades the first year and add on additional grades in the future.
Do you offer part-time for Pre-K?
No, we do not offer part-time enrollment for any of our grades, however, we do offer half-day for our Pre-K students.
What are the Academy’s hours? Do you offer before & after care?
The Mighty Kingdom Academy is in session from 7:30am – 3:00pm. Students can begin arriving at 7 and stay until 3:15 without additional charges. Before care is offered and set up on an individual basis. Aftercare is provided from 3:00pm – 5:00pm and is $5 a day.
What is the dress code?
The Mighty Kingdom Academy does not mandate a “uniform”. We do ask that students are dressed modestly (no sleeveless shirts, shorts under skirts/dresses, etc…) and graphic images on clothing should be both appropriate and respectful. Students must wear closed-toe shoes daily, no flip-flops or sandals.
What is the cost of tuition?
Tuition is the same fee for all ages and is $4000 a year or $2000 a Semester.
Yearly tuition can be broken up into…10 monthly payments (August–May) of $400 each or 12 monthly payments (July-June) of $335 each.
One Semester's tuition can be broken up into 5 monthly payments of $400 each.
There is a multiple-sibling discount.
Are there any additional fees other than tuition?
There is a registration fee of $125 at the beginning of each school year. This fee covers the following: $10 membership fee, $10 student insurance fee, $75 for curriculum and $30 for supplies. All supplies are purchased by the Academy; therefore, there is not a supply list sent to families. However, there is an “early registration” discount of $25 off the curriculum, so the total would be $100 if registered by May 31st.
